She was born February 26, 1928 at Smith Creek, WV and was the daughter of the late Hobert Hartman and Mary Susan Whitecotton Hartman.
She had worked at Franklin Garment Company and Hanover Shoe Company and was a member of the Smith Creek Church of the Brethren.
On June 9, 1951, she married Thomas A. Hartman, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1996.
Her second husband, Paul William Alt, preceded her in death on July 2, 1988.
She is survived by –

And six great-grandchildren – Emily Conley, Waylon Shreve, Alania Crosby, Jace Shreve, Addison Shreve and Fletcher Puffenbarger
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Edgar Hartman, Roy Hartman, Russell Hartman, Roscoe Hartman and Bryan Hartman and two sisters, Maggie Hartman and Thelma Peck
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Smith Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tom Hanks officiating.
Interment will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV.
