"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 31, No 20, p 3, May 13, 1875.

In Plainfield, N. J., May 1st, 1875, of pneumonia, Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, wife of Nathan Rogers, aged 60 Years. Sister Rogers, from early years, has been a devoted follower of Christ, and as years advanced, the Christ-life and spirit grew in her, till, when called to go up higher, she has been an example of devotedness, while her ministries of love in a wide circle of usefulness has left for her many precious memories. In the Sabbath service, in the prayer meeting, in the Sabbath School, and in all places of Christian work, she was an example of faithfulness. Such examples will live long after dust crumbles to dust, for "Happy are the dead who die in the Lord, from henceforth; … and their works do follow them." The funeral was attended by a large number of people of all denominations. Services conducted by pastors of the Plainfield, New Market, and New York Seventh-day Baptist Churches. Sermon by D. E. Maxson.
