Alberta K. Niezelski, 68, of Loyalhanna, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at home. She was born May 7, 1935, in Loyalhanna, a daughter of the late John P. and Mary (Pristas) Kraynak.
She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church and its Ladies Guild and the Senior Citizens of St. Mary's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Emil and Michael Kraynak. She is survived by her husband, Andrew R. Niezelski, and the following children: Andrew M. and his wife, Mary, of Latrobe, Craig J., of Pittsburgh, Mark E., of Edinboro, Michael E. and his wife, Susan, of Ellicott City, Md., Mary K. Kott and her husband, Joseph, of Loyalhanna, and John J. and Robert A., both of Loyalhanna; nine grandchildren, Zachary, Luke, Caroline, Sarah, David and Daniel Niezelski, Elias and Isaac Kott, and Paige Niezelski; a brother, John E. Kraynak and his wife, Charlotte, of Latrobe; three sisters, Elizabeth Valasko, of Latrobe, Martha Nolan, of Vineland, N.J., and Isabelle Ridilla, of Latrobe; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Parastas service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Panachida service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Church Cemetery.
