Susan Elizabeth (Johnson) Abel, age 75, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of St. Johns, MI and Clarkston, MI, died Monday, March 20, 2017.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Family and friends are welcome to meet for a luncheon following the service at Golden Moon restaurant (4527 Miller Rd, Flint, MI 48507).
Susan was born November 28, 1941, the daughter of Kenneth and Eliza (Cobb) Johnson. Sue was a long time resident of St. Johns, MI prior to moving to Boca Raton, Florida. Sue was active in the Catholic Church, the Scottish American Club, as well as poetry club in Boca Raton. She loved to travel, read and spend time with family and friends.
Surviving are her children: Steven O'Neill (Cindy), Fran Wright (Bill), Robert Tressel (Freda), Gary Tressel (Diane), Sue Furman, William Tressel (Mary), Mark Tressel (Dee), Mike Tressel (Jackie); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by: three husbands, Harold O'Neill, Robert Tressel and James Abel; infant daughter, Kathy O'Neill; son, Richard Tressel; daughter-in-law, Donna Tressel; son-in-law, August Furman; brother, Kenneth Lee Johnson; sister-in-law, Rae Johnson.
