Maybelle A. McKinney, 81, Altoona RD, died Monday at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George L. and Annetta B. (Witman) Peterman. She married C. William McKinney June 22, 1948, at Juniata Presbyterian Church. He died in October 1992.
Surviving are six children: Wilma McKinney Wooding, William L. McKinney, Kay Ann Winkler and B. Joy Shields, all of Altoona, David McKinney of Tipton and Jane McKinney of Bradenton, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Lewis E. Peterman, George F. Peterman and Raymond L. Peterman.
Mrs. McKinney was a former partner in L.S. Peterman Florist Co., Juniata, for many years. She graduated from Altoona High School in 1943. She enjoyed music and reading and was extremely involved in her family, loving to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She was a member of Broad First Presbyterian Church, Altoona, and an associate member of Juniata United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Juniata United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Carol LeBlanc officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
