George Vernon “Butch” Acors, Jr., 42, of Partlow passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital.

Butch was a graduate of Spotsylvania High School. He had worked for Sherwin Williams for 25 years and was currently the manager of the route 3 store in Fredericksburg. Butch was a member of Vertical Life Community Church where he served as a deacon and he volunteered for WPER 90.5.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer L. Acors; daughter Gabrielle “Gabby “ Acors; father George Vernon Acors Sr. (Jena); brothers Tim Acors (Valarie) and Andy Acors (Melissa); father and mother-in-law Jevene and Judy Bowling; brother-in-law Eric Bowling (Aey); nephews and nieces Drew, Ben, Madi, Grayson, Wyatt, Megan and Edward. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Acors.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 at Salem Fields Community Church. Burial will follow in Wallers Baptist Church Cemetery.
