Betty Ruth Blazer, age 80, of Newport, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Blazer, her parents William ‘Bill’ and Lula Hensley Talton, sisters Imogene Blazer and Viola, and brother Cleve Talton.
She is survived by her sons Gary, Ronnie, Eddie, Charlie, and Bobby Blazer; grandchildren Gary Blazer, Jr., Chelsie Lane, Johnathan Blazer, Betty Jean (Aaron) Ball, Dedra Blazer, Chris Henderson, April Saylor, and Tiffany Blazer; great-grandchildren Hannah Blazer, Logan Blazer, Tenlee Lane, Madison Saylor, and Reagan Webb; sisters Rosalee Jennings and Etter Caldwell; and brothers Dewey, Wallace, L. V., Ralph, and Joe Talton.
The family will receive friends in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2015, from 5:00—7:00 p.m. The funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Ledbetter and Rev. Manson Lee officiating.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in St. James Cemetery.
