Mrs. Hazel Virginia Davis, 79, of Petersburg, went to be with the Lord Feb. 11, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born Nov. 14, 1925, in Rockbridge, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ernest Howard Worth and Maggie Jane (McDaniel) Worth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Davis, July 4, 1978; two sons, Jerry Davis, March 17, 1974, and Carl Davis Jr., June 2, 2002; one daughter, Betty Lou; four brothers, Red Worth, Cecil Worth, Pete Worth and Lloyd Worth; and four sisters, Tina, Beulah, Francis and Elizabeth.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Dolly of Strasburg, Va., Katherine VanMeter of Petersburg, and Patsy Sites of Dorcas; one son, Bruce Davis of Goshen, Ind.; one brother, Melvin Worth of Fincastle, Va.; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 15, at Basagic Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in Davis Family Cemetery, Petersburg.
