Born September 4, 1922 in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Preston Louis Gianniny and Lula Fitzgerald Gianniny. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Safely Gianniny; his second wife, Helen S. Gianniny; an infant son; a sister, Annie Herring; and a brother, Melvin Gianniny.
Earl was a retired Painting Contractor, a member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, and an Army Veteran of WW II.
Surviving him are his wife, Marjorie S. Gianniny of Charlottesville; two daughters, Faye G. Williams and her husband, Bill, of Waynesboro, and Ms. Avis Gianniny Townsend of Chestertown, MD; two sons, P.E. Gianniny and his wife, Ila, of Ruckersville and George "Buck" Giannini and his wife, Ardna, of Charlottesville; two step-daughters, Marcia Pecor and her husband, David, of Staunton and Rhonda Morrison and her husband, John, of Staunton; eight grandchildren, Preston Gianniny, Chanses Gianniny, Stephani Belt, Bryston Giannini, Trent Giannini, Matthew Williams, Marc Williams, and Jonathan Williams; four stepgrandchildren, Jason Pecor, Jonathan Pecor, Morgan Gardner, and Stacy Gardner; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
