AUSTIN -- Artancy (Tanny) Hyland, age 81, of Austin, Minn., died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at the Austin Medical Center, Austin, Minn.
Tanny was born March 5, 1925, in Cambridge, Minn., to Arthur and Edna (Medin) Larson. Tanny graduated from Cambridge High School in 1943. After living briefly in Chicago, she moved to Austin, Minn., where she was employed at Hormel Foods for over 43 years, retiring in 1987. She married Kenneth Hyland on Feb. 3, 1945, at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Rock Dell, Minn. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Tanny is survived by her children: Pamela (Duncan) Hogg, Mt. Clemens, Mich.; David (Jerri) Hyland, Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers: Roger (Norma) Larson, Cambridge, Minn.; Jim (Jan) Larson, Austin, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth in 1973; and her sister, Delores Potter.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 29, at 12 p.m. at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be held at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary today from 4-6 p.m. and on Monday for one hour before the service. Music will be by Neal Erickson.
