Ada E. Rood Hudelson, 96, Benton RR1, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 1997, at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Orangeville.
Born June 12, 1900, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Anna Samsel Steiner.
Her husband, Archie Hudelson, died May 28, 1973. Also dying previously were her first husband, the Rev. H. Ray Rood Sr.; three sisters: Lula Rood, Margaret Kyttle and Alice Remley; three brothers: Clyde, Charles and Henry Steiner; and two half-brothers: Robert Doty and Floyd "Toby" Doty.
She was a member of the Berwick Christian Church.
Hudelson was also a member of the Daughter of American and the Berwick Moose Lodge. She was a baker for the Hotel Berwick for many years.
Surviving are a son, H. Ray Rood Jr., Benton; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Laura Mausteller, Bloomsburg.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick, with the Rev. David Diehl, Hospice chaplain; and the Rev. William F. Tucker, retired Christian minister, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Market Street, Berwick.
