SUNSET- Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Living Life Church in Lafayette (2768 N.E. Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, LA 70507) for Irvin Adams, age 78, who passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at his residence in Sunset.
Interment will be St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Dr. John Barton will officiate at the services.
He is survived by three children: two daughters, Cheryl Lynn" Cherie" Adams and Tammy Renee Adams both of Sunset, LA; one son, Gregory Heath Adams of Franklin LA; fourteen grandchildren, Brittany, Briana, Brea, Andrea, Caleb, Javier, Dylan, Keyra, Caeden, Jayden, Zaden, Brooklyn, Sapphire and Scarlet; one great-granddaughter, Lyric Fontenot; two sisters, Edorsey Duplechain and Mary Ann Adams both of Sunset, LA three brothers, Joseph Louis "Calvin" Adams of Sunset, LA, Joseph Cyril Adams and his wife, Rosita, of Lafayette, LA and James Larry Adams of Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Thomas Adams; his parents, Peter Adams & Cora Smith Adams; five sisters, Hilda Taylor, Pearl Moore, Elnora Stewart, Evella Etienne and Thelma Davis and one brother, John Peter Adams, Jr.
