Ray Holt remembered by Huronia Players.

Ray Holt Exits the Stage at Age 80

Long time member Ray Holt passed away on August 4, 2016. Ray began his involvement with Huronia Players when, as a drama teacher at Midland Secondary School, he joined, in his own words, "a small collection of friends getting together to have fun and put on some plays". In true Huronia Players fashion he has filled the roles of Actor, Director, Set Builder, Lighting Technician, Sound Operator and, most recently, Playwright. The list of plays he directed includes:

Murder on Arrival

All for Mary

Arms and the Man

Barillon's Wedding

Paint Your Wagon (with Lynn Gorell)

The Mousetrap

Imaginary Invalid

A Doll's House

Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii

Cabaret

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Bloodline

She Stoops to Conquer

Alice In Wonderland (with Yvonne Beaney)

The Snow Queen (with Yvonne Beaney)

Social Security

Always enthusiastic, he had a passion for including and supporting both youth and adults in his productions. We will miss his creative thinking and this important link to our past.
