Tom attended Moberly High School and graduated in 1965, he then went on to continue his education at Moberly Junior College graduating in 1967 with an Associate’s Degree.
Prior to retirement Thomas worked for Bratcher’s Market in Moberly.
Tom married Betty Jo Shoup on May 19, 1973 in Rush Hill, MO and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his daughters; Melissa Segraves and husband Rob of Liberty, MO and Susan Henry and husband Jeremy of Gower, MO, four grandchildren; Luke Whittaker of Kansas City, MO, Abby Davidson of St. Joseph, MO, Cameron Henry and Max Henry both of Gower, MO, his sister, Jane Long of Grandview, MO, sister-in-law, June Bohac and husband Ron of Mt. Pleasant, SC, brother-in-law, Wayne Guinn of Moberly, Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Donald Shoup, mother-in-law, Helen Shoup and sister-in-law, Joyce Guinn.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Memorial contributions to Boone Hospice would be appreciated.
Services honoring and celebrating Tom’s life were held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery
