H. V. Ausband Dies of Heart Attack

H. V. Ausband, 72-year-old farmer, was found dead in the driveway at Growers Warehouse, east of town, early Wednesday afternoon. It is presumed he died of a heart attack, since he had suffered from a heart condition for several years.

Relatives said Mr. Ausband had gone to the warehouse, which is not far from his own home on Highway 11-W to hand off some tobacco. it is supposed he had started home when the fall attack occurred. His body was found approximately 15 feet from the entrance to the warehouse about 2 o'clock.

The venerable farmer was highly respected in Rogersville. He was born on the north side of Clinch Mt. in Hawkins County but moved to the present home in 1925. He was employed as a warehouseman at Rogan Hardware for seven years. He was an active member of the Rogersville Baptist Church and was a deacon at the East End Baptist Mission.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dona Burton Ausband; one daughter, Mrs. Mamie Ausband Boehm of Augusta, Ga.; and one grandson, John Charles Boehm.

Funeral plans are awaiting the arrival this morning of the Rev. and Mrs. Theo Boehm from Augusta.
