Thomas Darrell Adams, 85, of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017. He was born on June 21, 1931 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Wilburn Thomas and Truey L. (Thompson) Adams. He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock County. Tommy served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church where he attended the Harmony Sunday School Class. He also served on the Roosevelt School Board for several years. He was a Christian man who loved his Lord, church and family. He married Donna Atkinson on December 7, 1956 in Lubbock and together they began their family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Donna; two daughters, Bonnie Adams and Cassie Van Slyke and husband Glenn all of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Thomas, Patti, Audrey, Valerie and Vanessa; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Oak Crest Suite of Combest Family Funeral Homes. Celebration of life services will be held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church Central Campus at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
