David John Pipoly, of Kingsley, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was 52 years old.

David was born to Andrew and Mary (Matecun) Pipoly on October 19, 1960, in Muskegon, Michigan. He graduated from McBain Public High School in 1979. He married Cheryl Powell on May 18, 1991.

David was a proud employee of Gordon Food Services as a sales serviceman for 20 years. He and Cheryl raised two daughters, Noelle and Christa. He enjoyed NASCAR, model rocket launching, working on things in the garage, his tractor and snowmobiles, various carpentry and masonry projects in their home and the family's animals. But most of all, he loved spending time with Noelle and Christa and supported them in their many interests with school, sports and 4-H. Noelle and Christa were the sparkle in his eye, the beat of his heart, the joy of his life. Being a father was his proudest accomplishment and he "always" said how blessed he was for his two beautiful daughters.

David is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Noelle; parents, Andrew and Mary Pipoly of Cadillac, and in-laws, Mel and Ruth Powell of Manton; siblings, Mary Beth (Kenneth) Zuiderveen of Falmouth, Dianne (Robert) Bowers of McBain; sisters-in-law, Karen (Bob) Dorie, and Sue Powell; brother-in-law, David (Sam) Powell; nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Josh) Parmelee (Logan), Renae (Thomas) Jakubisin (Cayden and Enoch), Kendra (Chris) Jenema (Levi and McKenna), Melissa (Mike) Abbott (Austin and Caleb), Melinda Markham (Stephan and Kaylynn), Holly (Jimmie) Abbott (Evan and Owen), Lindsey Oster (Rileigh and Taylor), Paul Oster and fiancé, Danielle (Aleah, Seth, Madison and Brianna), Rachel and Megan Dorie, Michael and Matthew Powell, Jody and Chad Persons (Tyler and Morgan).

He is preceded in death by his sister, Paula Sue Pipoly, and nephew, Robert Allan Bowers Jr.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the Kingsley High School gymnasium from 4 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the high school gymnasium with visitation one hour prior. A special service for Christa's school and community will be held at 4 p.m., also at the high school gymnasium.
