Gussie Guthery, 93, was born on April 9, 1905 in Iuka, Izard County, Arkansas to Robert A. Hall and Mary Alice McNeill Hall, and passed away on Thursday, Nov 12, 1998 at Pauls Valley General Hospital. Gussie is survived by her two sons: Dean Guthery and his wife Nelda of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Bobbie Guthery and his wife Linda of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Guthery, and a daughter, Madge Sullenger. Gussie was a member of the United Methodist Church, and her hobbies included genealogy, photography, knitting, quilting and ceramics. She was an industrious person and enjoyed calling and writing to her friends and relatives. Graveside funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 16 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with David Shahan officiating. Interment was under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
