He was born on August 3, 1930 in Matheny, WV a son of the late Crawford K. Stewart (1906-1967) and Laura Stewart-Stewart (1910-2007). He was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Kelly Stewart (1934-1989); two sisters, Ernestine Stewart-Fletcher (1932-Deceased) and Beatrice Stewart-Hood (1929-Deceased).
Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Terry Michael Stewart of Beckley, Gary Stewart & Angie Stewart of Pineville, and Lacy Stewart & Amanda Stewart of Blythewood, SC; a daughter Sherry Stewart-Bragg & Freddie Bragg of Oceana; four grandchildren, Kristin (Josh) Stewart, Danielle Stewart and fiancé' Josh Jedra, Brandon Stewart and Matthew Stewart; two great grandchildren, Sophie Stewart and Landon Stewart; special friends, Raymond Walker and Dale Stewart; several nieces, nephews and host of other loving family and friends.
A celebration of Lacy's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Doc Adkins officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
