US Navy Corpsman(HN3)Carl Douglas Dudley, Vietnam Veteran, Born in South Carolina, he later became a native of Rocky Mount, NC.

US Navy Hospitalman Third Class Carl Douglas Dudley Jr, was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, HN3 Dudley served our country until June 27th, 1967 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was 24 years old and was married. It was reported that Carl died from artillery fire. His body was recovered. HN3 Dudley is on panel 22E, line 069 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one than one year.

To my friend and comrade in FMF Camp Pendelton, California 1967. I will always remember you Carl. We were in Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, Phu-Bai, The kid from Mansfield, OH, HM3 Franklin Tillman Jr.

He is the Husband of Veronica Fleming Robzia Dudley; Father of Miss Carla D. Dudley; Son of Mr Carl Douglas Dudley Sr and Mrs Ruth Hamlet Dudley of 520 Park Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.

He served in Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd MAF, Phu Bai, Vietnam.

He was awarded The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal and The National Defense Service Medal.
