Leaving to mourn his passing is his sister in laws, Jo Ann Jeffers and her husband Sherman of Roanoke, VA, Sharon Hammer and her husband Charles of Yorktown, VA, with whom Reverend Eure resided with until his passing; a host of nieces; nephews; and many friends. Rev. Eure held several positions in the Church of God organization. He served on three international boards and was State Superintendent (Overseer) of New Jersey and West Virginia as well as Youth Director for the state of Virginia for six years. He pastored four churches in the Tidewater area; Virginia Beach, Norfolk, (Azalea Garden), Kempsville, Parkview Church of God. At the time of his death, he was attending the Azalea Garden Church of God in Virginia Beach. During the 60 plus years of his ministry, he performed countless marriage ceremonies and funerals. Rev. Eure was a member of the United States Coast Guard, proudly serving until 1948.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, Feb. 4th, 2017 at the Azalea Garden Church of God, Centerville Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel is assisting the family.
