Walter Matthew Anderson, 36, of Jackson, Ohio passed away at his home on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Matthew was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on September 13, 1980.

Matthew is survived by his father, Walter Michael (Doris) Anderson, of Waverly, and his mother Connie Reed, of Waverly (and Douglas Smith, Gallipolis).

Matthew is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Riley Taylor Anderson and Tenley Renee Anderson, of Chillicothe, his sister Melissa (Steve) Payton, of Chillicothe, step-brother Cody (Melinda) Elam, of Londonderry, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mary Anderson and Eli, Jr. and Kathryn Russell.

He graduated from Piketon High School in 1999, where he was an honor student and multi-sport, all-conference athlete. He went on to earn a degree in Automotive Management from Lincoln College of Technology (Indianapolis), and Electromechanical Engineering from Shawnee State University (Portsmouth). He was an Electrical Instrumentation Technician (shift leader) at General Mills Pillsbury in Wellston, and formerly owned Totally Tan of Jackson.
Matthew loved spending time with his daughters, along with automotive racing and mechanics.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Leffler officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery in Waverly.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
