Hattie Elizabeth Mills was born at Alvarado, TX in 1888. She is the daughter of Joseph Eli Mills Jr. and Abi Tabitha Crowder Mills. She married Jonathan Ervin Steele in 1907 in Hill County, TX. They were blessed with seven children including Olen Curtis, Chester Louie, John D., Imogene, Ivanelle, Bobbie & Jodean. Hattie surrended her life to Jesus Christ as a young woman and attended Locust Street Church of Christ. She is instrumental in teaching the Gospel to her family and many many others.
