Rev. Jackson,
Episcopal Rector
The Rev. H. Ward Jackson, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Swarthmore, collapsed and died while playing golf at the Springhaven Club, Wallingford on Saturday. Mr. Jackson was 39 and lived at 305 College Ave.
He had been rector at the church since last December.
A native of Binghamton, N.Y., he was a graduate of Hobart College, Geneva, N.Y. and received a divinity degree from Eastern Theological School, Cambridge, Mass. He held a Master of Sacred Theology degree from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn.
Mr. Jackson had formerly been assigned to churches in Utica, N.Y., Lexington and Frankfort, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia Lee Wood, and two children, Sarah and Samuel.
