MOTHER CARNETTA THOMAS KEE

Mother Carnetta Thomas Kee, passed away Jan. 15, 2017. A life-long resident of Key West, Florida, she was one of the oldest living residents in the Florida Keys at the age of 102.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Julian “Yankee” Kee, and her sons, the late Julian Kee Jr. and the late Bishop Albert Kee.
She is survived by five children Harold (Myette) Kee, Tampa, Florida; Mercedes Kee-Sierra, Key West, Florida; Gilbert (Janae) Kee, Key West, Florida; Patricia Kee, Tampa, Florida and Julian Kee III, Tampa, Florida. She had five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
The viewing will be Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 522 William St., Key West, Florida 33040. Funeral services will take place Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the same church. Additional parking will be available in the old Harris School parking lot.
All arrangements are entrusted to Castillo and Thurston’s Key West Mortuary and Cremation Center.
