James Richard Maxey, 78, of Oak Run died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at his residence.

Services have been conducted.

Burial was at Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Born March 8, 1924, in Los Angeles, he moved to Shasta County in 1984 from Huntington Park.

He was -- salesman with General Electric Corp. and was -- U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he was in the 101st Airborne Division. Pvt Us Army World War II.

Survivors include wife Claudia; daughters Stephanie Novak of Downey, Claire Kinzinger of Burbank and Mary Peete of Oak Run; sister Beatrice Millar of Santa Rosa; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Hershel E. (1939) and Margaret Pearl (nee Moore, 1972) Maxey.
