Shawn Michael Bates, 27, of Lynn, Mass., formerly of Maine, died, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Born in Norway, Maine, he was raised in Lebanon, Maine. He moved to Lynn, Mass. He was the husband of Elizabeth (White) Bates, and the son of Aubrey Bates of Lebanon, Maine and Rita (Corriveau) Bates of Farmington, N.H.
Educated in Berwick, Maine, he was the owner and operator of My TV Guy Inc. of Lynn, a home theater company. He formerly worked at Tweeter and Best Buy on the North Shore. Besides spending time with his family, he enjoyed fishing, skydiving and playing cards. He was also an avid sports fan.
Besides his wife, Beth, and his parents, he is survived by three daughters, Hannah, Kayleigh and Meaghan Bates, all of Lynn; his brother, William Bates of Farmington, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eugene and Frances White of Lynn.
