Sam was born in Springfield, MA and moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1974 from Longmeadow, MA. A veteran of the US Coast Guard during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Susan; sons, Jeffery(Jerrilynn) and Craig(Davina); brother, Scott, and sister, Dale; five grandchildren - Elizabeth, Courtney, Carter, Samantha, and Hailee.

Update: I am a neighbor of Sam and Sue. I only knew Sam for a short time but in that time I enjoyed talking to him. He was great at jokes and one liners and we always laughed when talking. He was very ill with the side effects of a medication he took for reducing cholesterol. He deteriorated quite quickly but I enjoyed talking with him so much. He is missed.
