She was a former resident of 212 S. Market St., Shamokin, and had most recently resided in Catawissa with her daughter Michelle, son-in-law Terry, and grandchildren.
Betty was married to Walter Worhacz, who passed away in 1986.
Before marrying Walter, Betty worked at Shroyer's Dress Factory and Reed's Ice Cream Store. After marriage, she became a housewife.
Both before and after graduation, she was an active member of the 1939 Coal Township High School graduating class.
She was also a member of Transfiguration Ukranian Catholic Church and attended Our Lady of Mercy Church in Slabtown.
Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother of three children and grandchildren.
Baba could always be found, as a dedicated fan, attending her grandchildren's Southern Columbia basketball games. She took pride in crocheting and selling chances on afghans she made as donations to the teams. Baba was an avid Penn State University football follower and always enjoyed attending games at Beaver Stadium.
Betty enjoyed the company of the family dogs Fitch, Carolina and Chloey.
She was very active with her hobbies, which included shopping, crocheting afghans, spending time with her grandchildren and watching QVC.
Betty was known and loved by everybody and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren's friends.
She will forever be remembered as Baba.
She is survived by a son, Walter and Katie (Welsh) Worhacz of Jupiter, Fla.; two daughters, Nadine (Worhacz) and Bill Lawton of Sunbury, and Michelle (Worhacz) and Terry Faust of Catawissa, and three grandchildren, Chad Faust of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Colby Faust of Catawissa, and Cady Faust of Catawissa.

WORHACZ - Betty I. Worhacz, 86. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church, Shamokin, with the Rev. Mark Fesniak presiding. Burial will be at Transfiguration Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Farrow Funeral Home, 240 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin.
