Obituary for Gavin Michael Lane

Gavin Michael Lane, age twenty-one, entered into rest on January 11, 2017. Gavin was born to Michael and Laura Lane on July 17, 1995, in Oceanside, California, on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton . Gavin moved to Australia in 1998, returning to Oklahoma with his family in 2007. He gradu-ated from Mustang High School in 2014. Gavin was an avid fisherman, explorer, and a traveler taking opportunities to visit Scotland, return to Australia and road trip the United States. Gavin was a free-spirited young man who had a hard time slowing down unless he was fishing. His adventurous nature and spontaneity took him places that were envied by many. What he put his mind to; he did seemingly, appearing without effort. He was helpful, tenderhearted and insightful. Gavin is survived by his parents, Michael and Laura Lane, brother and sister in law, Dustin and Kodi Lane, sister, Elissa Lane, maternal grandmother, Maureen Moen, paternal grandparents, Tom and Jeanette Lane, uncles and aunts, James and Karen Lane, Darren and Tanya Lane, and Peter and Jenny Lane. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Moen, and paternal uncle, Paul Lane.
Memorial services will be held 2pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Mustang United Methodist Church, Mustang, OK.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mustang United Methodist Church marked for Skyline Urban Ministry to impact Oklahoman’s living in poverty.
