Lyrleen Gaudet Adams, a retired teacher, died Wednesday of heart and kidney failure at her home. She was 72. Mrs. Adams was born in Gretna and lived in Dallas. She received a bachelor's degree from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana and a master's degree from Louisiana State University. She taught at Ursuline Academy in Dallas and in various Jefferson Parish schools.Survivors include her husband, Mark L. Adams; a son, Louis Herren Adams; a daughter, Jennifer Adams Vavrik; a brother, James K. Gaudet; a sister, Jeri Gaudet Layden; and two grandchildren. A Mass will be said Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 8131 Military Parkway, Dallas. Visitation will be today at 7 p.m. at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
