Ricky C. Smith, 49, of Ghent, Ky., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.

He was born June 23, 1957, in Madison, the son of Virgil and Wilma Jones Smith. He was a laborer and a factory worker. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Smith of Louisville, Ky.; his mother, of Ghent, Ky.; two sisters, Reba Noble of Ghent, Ky., and Vickie Spears of Jeffersonville; and two brothers, Pete Smith of Worthville, Ky., and Doug Smith of Ghent, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Ghent Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
