Martha L. "Cookie" Pyle Geary, 91, of Jones Mills, passed away peacefully Sun. Jan. 8, 2016 at her home, while surrounded and comforted by her loving children and family. She was born Sept. 12, 1925 in Melcroft a daughter of the late Samuel and Helen Holfelt Pyle. Martha was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School in Mt. Pleasant with the class of 1944. Prior to her retirement she worked as a switchboard operator at the Westmoreland Manor in Greensburg for 27 years. She served as District Magistrate or many years and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Lady's Auxiliary. Martha was the oldest living member of the Mt. Nebo Church of God in Champion.

She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children Brenda Robosky and Paul "Bo" Geary both of Jones Mills, her granddaughter Gretchen (Justin) Goodman of Midway, GA., her great grandchildren Angelina and Pierce, her nieces and nephew Connie Wolfchief, Sherry (David) Barron, and Jim (Hope) Miller, her special cousins John (Bea) Pyle and Zane (Linda) Pritts, and her special friend Jean Eutsey. Martha was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents Martha was predeceased by her husband Paul I. Geary, her son-in-law Walter George Robosky, her sister Gayle Meyers, and her nephew James Miller.

The family would like to thank Debbie and Rachel, the Bethlen Hospice, especially Pascale and Jody for all the wonderful and loving care given to Martha.

Family and friends will be received Thur. from 2-4 and 6-9 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310) where a funeral service will be held Fri. at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Ron Schaeffer officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Snowball Cemetery, Cook Twp. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Mt. Nebo Church of God, c/o Pastor Ron Schaeffer, 141 Tressler Dr., Confluence, PA. 15424 or the Bethlen Community Hospice, 210 Church St., Ligonier, PA. 15658, in memory of Martha L. Geary.
