Benita Boos, 92, Ellis, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. She was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Ellis County to August and Pauline (Unrein) Leiker.

She married Celestine Boos on Sept. 27, 1948. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1970

She was a homemaker and long-time employee at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis, and Senior Companion.

Survivors include a son, Steve Boos, Phillipsburg; two daughters, Pam Hammer, Belleville, and Cindy Imel, Winfield; a sister, Norma Fox; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; inurnment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS 67637.

Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Society, Ellis, in care of the funeral home.
