Mrs. Betty Jo Green, 82 of King George County passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. She was born January 9, 1934 in Jefferson County, Tennessee, to the late Ernest Bryan Morie and Artie Mae Solomon Morie. She was a member of Two Rivers Baptist Church in King George and she retired from NSWC Dahlgren after over fifty years of service.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband Roy Jefferson Green, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Gina M. Steckler and Anita L. Croisetiere both of King George, grandchildren Justin E. Steckler and his wife Michelle of Caroline and Whitney A. Davis of King George, a great grandson Cullen J. Steckler, numerous nieces and nephews and a special longtime friend Sharon Marshall.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Storke Funeral Home-Nash & Slaw Chapel, 11089 James Madison Parkway, King George, VA 22485 with funeral services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Peyton Wiltshire will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250 and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
