James R. (Jim) Little passed away suddenly February 1, 2005 at his home in Heber Springs and went to God's great water garden in the sky. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle. . "Papa Jim" will be dearly missed by all. As a friend, mentor, confidante, counselor, teacher, business associate, (musician, actor, fisherman, landscaper, "perfectionist") and all-around go-to-guy. . .his knowledge and expertise were unmatched, as all who were blessed to know him will attest. "Dadgummit!" as he said (no stronger language he ever spoke.) No finer man (and none more humble) ever walked, and we mourn our loss as much as we mourn his passing. "One of these days, little buddy" will be held in our hearts as his wish to give us everything, forever. Born in Heber Springs on November 10, 1935, he was the son of Charlsie (Baldridge) Little and the late James Milton Little. Jim was a civil engineer and a lifetime resident of Heber Springs. He was a member of Heber Springs First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Cooper) Little of Heber Springs; two sons, Dr. Aaron Little and his wife, Laura, of Searcy and Adam Little of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter, Lee Ann Potter of Searcy; his mother, Charlsie Little of Heber Springs; one brother, Jack Little of Heber Springs; two grandsons, Kellen Potter of Kansas City, Missouri, and Colby Little of Searcy; and one granddaughter, Aubrey Little of Searcy.
