On Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at approximately 12:00 p.m. officers from the Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a deceased individual at 308 State St. on the City's west side.
Officers located a male subject deceased and in the back of a semi truck trailer. An autopsy was conducted yesterday and it was determined that the man died as a result of hypothermia.
The family was notified of the death.
The subject was positivity identified as Andrew Robert Abellard, age 30, was not a resident of Bay City and is believed to be a transient.
Investigators do not believe foul play was involved and this case is considered closed.
