Mrs. Elwanda Virginia Baldridge of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs. Born in Shiloh, Arkansas, on February 17, 1922, Mrs. Baldridge was 83 years of age. She was the daughter of the late William C. and Flora (Love) Bittle, one of the pioneering families of Cleburne County, where she grew-up. Mrs. Baldridge left Cleburne County during World War II and returned to live in Heber Springs three years ago. She was a retired data processor for the Richmond School District in Richmond, California. While a resident of California, Mrs. Baldridge was a volunteer with Community Projects in Napa, and she enjoyed gardening and her family. Her religious belief was Baptist. In 1973 she was preceded in death by her husband Frant Baldridge. Mrs. Baldridge was also preceded in death by five brothers, Lowell, Jess, Max, Ralph, and Alton Bittle, and two sisters, Jean Bivens and Lilly Mae Rorie. She is survived by one son, Don Baldridge and his wife, Sheryle of Vacaville, California; one daughter, Martha Rodman and her husband, Mark, of Napa, California; one sister, Betty Chesbro of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Max, Marissa, Amber, and Paul. Mrs. Baldridge is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and Friday at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, at 11:00 AM. in the Olmstead Chapel. Interment will follow in the Pearson Cemetery. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
