Anna Johanna Dallas, age 91, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at the Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Effingham, Illinois, on December 12, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Dora (Kettman) Buening. Mrs. Dallas was a homemaker and had been a resident of Heber Springs for thirty years. She enjoyed playing cards and working crossword puzzles. Mrs. Dallas was a member of St. Albert's Catholic Church in Heber Springs, serving as a sacristan for twenty-five years, and she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Her husband Forrest (Frank) Dallas preceded her in death on October 20, 1981. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons, James Dallas of Heber Springs and Dennis Dallas of Helena, Montana; one daughter, Patricia Ann Hrankaj of Chicago, Illinois; five brothers, Albert Buening, James Buening, Walter Buening, Raymond Buening, and John Buening; one sister, Marie Schoenhoff; two grandchildren, Darlene Hrankaj and Dorene French and her husband Dwayne, all of Elmwood Park, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew French and Taylor French. Mrs. Dallas is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, at 5:00 P.M. at Olmstead Funeral Home with a vigil beginning at 7:00 P.M. Funeral mass will be held Friday, March 18, at 9:00 A.M. in St. Albert's Catholic Church with Fr. Vincent Udo Ogbuji officiating. Interment will follow in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
