Born May 13, 1962, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Kermit "Ted" and Joy Irma McDonald Nelson.
Ms. Nelson graduated from Mediapolis High School in 1980, U of I in 1982 with her RRT, and from Colorado Tech with her CPC.
Diane worked as an X-ray tech for many years at UIHC and in the Burlington/ Ft. Madison area. She taught the Limited Radiology Program at SCC, and most recently was a Certified Professional Coder working from home until her illness.
She was a member of the Mediapolis Methodist and Presbyterian Churches and recently attended the First Church of Nazarene in Burlington. She enjoyed her friends, flowers, fishing and spending time with her son, Dillon.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother.
