Martha Irene Burroughs, daughter of the late John and Ola (White) Cooper passed away Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, Ar. She was born at Quitman, Arkansa on September 30,1929, Martha was 75 years of age. She was a member of Sardis Freewill Baptist Church, worked many years for Eli Walker Manufacturing Copr. At Heber Springs and the Melhart Corp. at Conway. She really enjoyed her flowers. She was preceded in death by her Husband Carl.Burroughs on May 11,2002, two brothers, Thomas Cooper of California and John G. Cooper of Quitman, and a sister, Loucille Shaw of Quitman. She is survived by her son Stanley Burroughs and his wife, Becky of Damascus, Ar., her daughter, Glendora Stevenson of Conway, Ar, sisters, Myrtle Hensley of Quitman, Ar. And Gladys Holliman of Oklahoma. 4 Grandchildren, Saundra Segerson and Brian Stevensonn, both of Quitman, Ar. , Craig Stevenson of California, and Danny Stevenson Of Heber Springs, Ar. 5 Great Grandchildren, Matthew and William Johnson and Blake, Jade, and Tanner Stevenson. Martha is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
Visitation was Saturday 6-8 P.M at Olmstead Funeral Home. Services were Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Sardis Freewill Baptist Church At 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark Glover and Rev. Jimmy Corder officiating. Interment followed at Flat Rock Cemetery with Berlin Burroughs, Farris Hensley, Fletcher Hensley, Doug Cooper, Dana Shaw, and Dennis Brock Serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Heber Springs, Arkansas
