COYNE _ Geraldine (Gerry) Anne (nee Rankin) 1957 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Geraldine Anne (Rankin) Coyne on January 10, 2007 at the age of 49 years. Geraldine was a wonderful wife to Seamus and a fantastic stay-at-home mom with her two beautiful girls, her pride and joy, Kathleen and Frances. Geraldine will be lovingly remembered by her husband Seamus Coyne and daughters, Kathleen (ten) and Frances (six) Coyne; siblings, Genevieve Fakoory (Jacob), California, David Rankin (Lorraine), Long Point, N.S., Raylene Anderson (Colin), Halifax, N.S., Paul Rankin (Kathleen), Sudbury, Ont., Ronnie Rankin (Clare), Mabou, N.S., Jimmy Rankin (Mia), Halifax, N.S., Carol (Cookie) Rankin Massenburg (George), Franklin, TN, Susan Weber (Franck), Abu Dhabi, UAE, Heather Rankin MacInnis (James), Halifax, N.S., Nancy Rankin (Brian Cassidy), Calgary, AB; Great-Aunt Susan Wright of Mull River; many nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts and countless friends and family in both Ireland and Cape Breton. Geraldine was predeceased by her parents Alexander Joseph (Buddy) and Kathleen Rankin, and brother John Morris Rankin; father-in-law Dr. Seamus Coyne; brothers-in-law, Michael and Peter Coyne; and nephew Eamonn Coyne. Geraldine's grace, kindness and beauty touched the lives of all who knew her. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at the family home at 32 Heritage Landing, Heritage Pointe, DeWinton, AB on Saturday, January 13, 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 14, 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W., Calgary at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2007 with Father Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Geraldine's name to an education trust fund for her daughters, Kathleen and Frances (ATB, Okotoks, AB), or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Prairies/NWT Chapter, 10665 Jasper Avenue, Suite 700, Edmonton, AB T5J 3S9.
