Mr. Pierre Lamont Carter, 25 of Roanoke answered his call to the Lord peacefully on January 11, 20078. He was very loving and respectful person with a passion for fixing things. He attended Roanoke City School. He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Gladys E. Cooper Jones and paternal great grandmother, Louise Saunders. He was born December 28, 1981 a precious gift and only son to his loving mother, Carolyn Carter (Danny) Hairston, father, Charles Carter of Tennessee. Other survivors include his two daughters, Dashaunti and Amiya Carter; sisters, Tasha, Cierra and Jasmine Carter; maternal grandmother, Janet (Clarence) Brown; grandfather, Melvin Saunders; paternal greatgrandmother, Laura King and paternal great-grandfather, Carl Carter both of Nashville, Tenn.; aunts, Donna Saunders and Stephanie Jones (David) Allen of Colorado; uncles, Alvin Jones, Michael (Melva) Saunders of Danville, Joseph (Julia) Saunders of Charlotte, N.C.; one niece, Jemoni Carter and a host of cousins; greataunts and great-uncles other family members and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, 12 p.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Steele, officiating, interment will follow in Williams Memorial Park.
