Elva Lorena Maguire the daughter of Charles and Grace Simpson James was born in White County, Illinois on December 23, 1924and passed away at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas, onOctober 23, 2005 at the age of 80 years.Mrs. Maguire was a homemaker and mother. Her religious belief was Pentecostal. She had been a resident of Heber Springs since 1996 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Tuesday Prayer Shawl Club. Mrs. Maguire was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Grace James, her husband Thomas F. Maguire, a son Thomas W. James, two grandchildren Paul Dale Frye and Tammy Joy Frye. She is survived by a daughter Joyce Bishop and husband Lecil, of Heber Springs, Arkansas: a son John Maguire and wife Jodee of Commerce City, Colorado, and a granddaughter Kiri Maguire of Carmi, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Arkansas and on Thursday, October 27, 2005 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM in the Campbell Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 27, 2005 and interment will follow in the North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi, Illinois. The family has requested that memorials be made to the White County Senior Citizens Center in Carmi, IL.
