Freda Keaton Mills, 84 of St. Rt. 73 McDermott, Ohio died Saturday December 10, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 10, 1932 in Morgan County, KY to the late Opha Keaton and Esta Ferguson Wallin.
She was united in marriage on June 23, 1950 to Bascom Mills, Jr. who preceded her in death on November 2, 2013.
Surviving are two sons: Paul “Patti” Mills and Larry “Anita” Mills both of McDermott. Three grandchildren: Eric “Christy” Mills of Portsmouth, OH, Michelle “Scott” Deason of Columbia, TN. and Brian “Michelle” Mills of Columbus, OH. Four great grandchildren: Paul-Silas Mills, Noah Mills, and Carter and Avery Deason. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Carol Mills, a daughter-in-law, Kathy Kelly Mills and a sister, Teresa Collier.
Mrs. Mills was a former employee of the former Williams Shoe Factory in Portsmouth, a member of the Lombardsville Community Church, and a member of the Lucasville Order of Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Lombardsville Community Church with Paster J.D. Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 11:00-1:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
