THE MADISON COURIER (MADISON, INDIANA), 31 AUG 1895:

George Bennett Prindle died at ten o'clock last night at his residence on Ryker's Ridge. He was fifty-two years of age, and leaves a wife and four children. In 1861, when troops were called for to put down the rebellion, he was one of the first to volunteer and marched from Madison to the front as a member of Captain John Robert Bruce Glasscock's Company (F) of the Sixth Indiana Regiment, serving faithfully for the old flag until honorably discharged. The funeral will take place at ten o'clock to-morrow (Sunday) morning, and the interment will be in Ryker's Ridge cemetery.
