Obituary for Ronald A. Harvill
Ronnie Harvill, 70, of McDonough, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughter, at Sacred Journey Hospice, Wednesday, November 30, 2016. He was born in Porterdale to the late William and Allene Shellnutt Harvill. Ronnie was retired from DeKalb County School System with 38 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather; and a friend to all he met. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Erik Harvill in 2008 and brother, Greg Harvill.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Trisha Harvill of McDonough; daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Steven Cargle of McDonough; granddaughters, Layla Hernandez and Kaiden Cargle both of McDonough; brothers, Jere Harvill of Greensboro, and Wayne Harvill of St. Mary’s, Fl; and nephew Rocky Harvill of Dawsonville.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shelnutt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Online condolences may be made at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
