Delores M. Abba, 87, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah. She was born on October 18, 1929, in Niagara, daughter of Lyle and Mabel (Malone) Kallenbach. Delores was united in marriage with Clyde A. Abba on March 9, 1951, in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2011. Delores worked for 40 years at J.C. Penney as a sales associate and was an active community volunteer, volunteering at Theda Clark Hospital for 20 years and at St. Vincent de Paul, Neenah.

Delores is survived by her children: Bill (Robyn) Abba, Readfield and Jo Ann (Dan Malliet) Clough, Black Earth; 3 grandchildren: Jessica (Jeff Kinross) Abba, Madison; Matt (Mary) Abba, New London; and Lindsey Clough, Sauk City; 3 great grandchildren: Elsie and Lily Abba and Isabel Miller; she has 2 surviving siblings: Mary Lou Rae, Neenah, and Bill (Patsy) Kallenbach, Childersburg, AL; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Rose Kallenbach, (Pasadena Maryland); Lloyd Abba, Escanaba, MI; Larry (La Vonne) Abba, Neenah; and Ron Abba, California; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Delores is further preceded in death by 2 brothers: John and James Kallenbach; and a sister: Ellen (Clarence) Hatchett.

Delores Mae was an incredible woman who treated all with compassion and respect. Her resilience and courage was an inspiration and her willingness to help others truly remarkable. She will be forever remembered for her generosity, and her kind, loving, and accepting nature. Delores was a role model for us all and she taught us by her example how to be a better person. We are truly heartbroken but relieved she is now with our father, Clyde, with whom they shared 60 years of marriage and blessed to have had her in our lives for 87 years.

A memorial gathering will take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
