CHATHAM - Marie M. (Morrissey) Cronin, 91, of Chatham, formerly of Dedham, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Avery Manor in Needham.
She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Cronin.
Born in Hyde Park, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (McEntee) Morrissey. She was a resident of both Chatham and Dedham for many years. She was an avid golfer.
Mrs. Cronin worked as an administrative assistant in the trust department of Hale & Dorr law firm of Boston.
She leaves two sisters, A. Patricia Flaherty of Dedham and Margaret E. Barrett of Walpole; five nephews, Check Flaherty of Billerica, Richard C. Hawes of Tigard, Ore., Michael Morrissey of Rockmart, Ga., Steven Hawes of Mansfield and David Hawes of Easton.
She was the sister of the late Peter C. Morrissey and Claire Hawes.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at 8 a.m., from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home (www.gfdoherty.com), 456 High St., Dedham, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m., at St. Mary Church, Dedham.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m.
