The Paris News-15 June 1952: Alva Lee Taylor-Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2: p.m. at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home for Alva Lee Taylor, Rt. 2. Paris. He died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at his residence. Roy E. Hazelton minister of Church of Christ of Van Alsytne will officiate with burial at Meadowbrook Memorial Park at Reno.

He was born 8 July 1879, in Illinois. The son of Robert Emmitt and Matilda Turner Taylor. He married the former Miss Arizona A. Mitchell, 31 Aug 1898.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Ed (Goldie) Thomas, of Dallas, Mrs. J. W. (Maudie) Posey, Rt. 6, Paris, Mrs. Bob (Pearl) Chambless, and Mrs. C. U. (Eunice) Morrison, both of Paris; four sons, Lawrence L. Taylor, Davis, OK; Goldman C. Taylor, Rt. 2, Paris; Samuel O. Taylor and McLee Taylor, both of Dallas; 20 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The Paris News-16 June 1952-Taylor Services- Funeral services were set for Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Fry & Gibbs Chapel for Alva Lee Taylor, Rt. 2, Paris, who died Saturday night at his home. Interment was to be made at Meadowbrook Memorial Park.

Named as pallbearers were J. M. Herron, Delbert Morrison, J. F. Shannon, Homer Findley, Willie LaRue, and R. L. Hutchings.
